Service Contract - Service Levels

Gold Breakdown Service:

Fully comprehensive includes unlimited breakdown call-outs covering all labour, travel and accommodation, all service parts, telephone and email technical support, excludes consumables, response time = 2 working days, detailed visit report is always forwarded to the end-user or supervisor

Silver Breakdown Service:

Comprehensive includes unlimited breakdown call-outs covering all labour, travel and accommodation, telephone and email technical support, but excludes all service parts and consumables, response time = 2 working days, detailed visit report is always forwarded to the end-user or supervisor

Bronze Breakdown Service:

Includes a number of customer nominated pre-purchased breakdown call-outs covering the labour, travel, accommodation, unlimited telephone and email technical support, but excludes all service parts and consumables, response time = 2 working days, detailed visit report is always forwarded to the end-user or supervisor.

Planned Preventative Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance visits are typically annual planned events, these can be more frequent if required by the customer or recommended by the manufacturer. Where our fully trained professional Fields Services Engineers follow a predetermined series of checks on the instrument in order to verify that the instrument is operating correctly and to minimize unscheduled downtime, a detailed checklist is always forwarded to the end-user or supervisor.

Preventative Maintenance with Performance Verification

In addition to the standard preventative maintenance visit our Field Services Engineers will deliver performance verification. This is carried out following the successful completion of the PM, the engineer will then run a customer or manufacturer supplied reference sample or samples this may also include a full re-calibration using the full range of customer or manufacturer supplier calibration standards. The results of the performance verification are always fowarded to the end-user or supervisor.

Calibration and Recertification

Some customers only require the instrumentation to receive an annual recalibration and certification service. The Field Services Engineer will carry out the recalibration of the instrument using customer or manufacturer supplied calibration standards. On completion of the recalibration a reference sample or samples supplied by the customer or manufacturer will be analyzed to verify that the instrument is performing to the customers or manufacturers specifications. A certificate of calibration will then be issued to the end-user or supervisor 

DQ, IQ, OQ and PQ Qualification

In many highly regulated laboratories or laboratories which are UKAS, ISO17025, 21CFR Part 11 or GLP accredited it is often required by the customer that the instrument supplier carries out 2Q, 3Q or 4Q qualification of the instrumentation annually.

Relocation Service

Scientific Support Services offer its customers a relocation service for all instrumentation that it has installed or supplied. Occasionally customers relocate to either expand there operation or to downsize. We can take care of the deinstallation, reinstallation, and performance verification, we can also advise on the specifications required for all the services at your new laboratory i.e.  bench space, gas supplies, gas filtration, power outlets, environmental conditions and consumables etc

Scientific Support Services Ltd offers a full range of service spares and consumables to its customers from all of its manufacturing suppliers. We do hold an extensive inventory for very fast delivery, should an item or items not be in our stock we do offer a hotline service which is guaranteed for a 48 hour delivery to your site.
