Scientific Support Services is moving
As you may know, Scientific Support Services is part of the Calibre Scientific group, a diversified global provider of life science reagents, tools, instruments, and other consumables to lab research, diagnostics, industrial, and biopharmaceutical communities.
We are continuously looking for ways to optimise our offering, improve our operations and enhance our service. To deliver on this, we are further integrating Scientific Support Services into the Calibre Scientific Group and will be transferring our Scientific Support Services operations to Technival Ltd (company number SC284151), which is also part of the Calibre Scientific UK group.
You will see this change on contracts and financial documents, with new orders managed, shipped and invoiced by Technival Ltd. The brand name, Scientific Support Services, a Calibre Scientific Company and its service and product portfolio will continue to exist and in time will evolve into the Calibre Scientific brand.
Upcoming facility move:
We are also pleased to announce our facility move to Technival. These changes will take effect from December 1st. Please make note of the following important information.

Why is this change happening?
This change is part of a staged approach to align a number of existing Calibre Scientific brands under one legal entity, to simplify trading operations.
What does this mean for me?
This change means that from 01/12/2024 we will require all purchase orders to be generated to Technival Ltd (support@scientificss.co.uk) – not the brands you may have traded with previously. However, there will be no change to our overall brand portfolio, manufacturing processes, pricing structure, or service delivery to our customers.
What will happen to the existing brands I have previously traded with?
Whilst we will retain the existing brands and their product offering, from a legal entity trading perspective, these brands will cease to trade and all business operations will be transacted through Technival Ltd.
How does this effect invoicing and banking processes?
With this move we are also updating our bank account details from 01/12/2024. All new invoices will be created by Technival Ltd and should be paid into the relevant account.
