XOS Petra SUPRA Multi-Element XRF for Light Elements delivers D4294 compliant Sulphur analysis in addition to 7 light elements, from Na to Ca. XOS SUPRA provides refiners, marine fuel and oils manufacturers, plastics recyclers and biofuel producers a fast, low-maintenance instrument with multiple use-cases: Low level Silicon and Aluminium results provide excellent screening data for wear and corrosion in marine fuels and plastic to oil manufacturing; Rapid Phosphorus analysis similarly provides screening potential for Biofuel producers; Low Sulphur, Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium LoD’s give refiners excellent confidence when checking for catalyst poisons. Perfect for Light Elements

Multi-Element XRF for Light Elements with ASTM D4294 for Sulphur and has a Sulphur LoD of 0.13 ppm (with ASTM D4294 / ISO 8754 / IP 336 compliance).

But in addition to being an excellent Sulphur analyser it also provides results for:

Silicon (Si) – LOD 0.6 mg kg⁻¹ (ppm)
Aluminium (Al) – LOD 2.0 mg kg⁻¹ (ppm)
Phosphorus (P) – LOD 0.25 mg kg⁻¹ (ppm)
Potassium (K) – LOD 0.06 mg kg⁻¹ (ppm)
Calcium (Ca) – LOD 0.03 mg kg⁻¹ (ppm)
Magnesium (Mg) – LOD 29 mg kg⁻¹ (ppm)
Sodium (Na) – LOD 160 mg kg⁻¹ (ppm)

Oxygen Correction

Oxygen interference can result in low result for XRF as the Oxygen absorb low energy X-rays. This poses particular problems for analysing light elements like Sulphur, which the SUPRA specialises in. This is problematic for Biofuels where Oxygen content is often high.

To prevent this, the SUPRA has excellent Oxygen Correction with options for Semi-quantitative, Automatic or Fully Quantitative correction with matrix matching, to ensure you get perfect results every time.
